Hi, I'm Cian — a UK-based collector with a soft spot for queer print history.

In my late twenties I wandered into a closing-down shop in London and found my first copy of Vulcan. It felt like a time capsule — a piece of culture that survived quietly, from a time when being openly gay wasn't exactly welcomed.

Three years on, I've built a growing archive of vintage gay magazines, books and memorabilia. (And yeah… enjoying it a bit too much.)

The hardest part of all this? Finding a reliable, respectful place to buy and sell — somewhere that treats it like cultural history, not something to be hidden away or handled awkwardly.

That's why Gay Vintage UK exists. Bought fairly. Described honestly. Shipped discreetly.

Pristine archival items get donated to the Bishopsgate Institute in London, where they're properly preserved for future generations (when they want them, anyway).

And to be clear — this isn't a get-rich scheme. If it covers its own costs, happy days. The real point is to keep a slightly forgotten world alive and kicking, and to make it easier for collectors — new and old — to find, preserve, and pass it on.

But most importantly? To enjoy it. :P
